Dr. Wall Worcester Shell Moulded Junket Dish

Description/Notes:
Fine Dr. Wall Worcester shell-moulded junket dish, brightly painted, probably in the atelier of James Giles, with alternating scallop shells washed in reddish-brown and yellow or edged in puce and painted with flower sprays within yellow-ground borders enclosing a central shell motif picked our in puce, yellow and blue, perfect condition with slight rubbing, measuring 9 1/2" diameter (24cm), 2 3/4 " high (7.0cm), Provenance: Rous Lench Collection; this dish illustrated in Rissik Marshall, pl.22, fig.45.
