Description/Notes:
Fine Russian silver gilt three-handle presentation cup with repousse figural two-headed Imperial eagle and scrolling foliage, the rim set with 6 cabochon bezel-set garnets; Imperial warrant mark for Pavel Ovchinnikov, kokoshnik mark of a girl's head turned right (1908-1917), with Greek letter indicating Moscow, 84 zolotniki (.875/1000 silver content); vase engraved: William Wahl, Jolanda II 1922 See: Russian Gold and Silver, Alenander von Solodkoff, p.57, color plate 66, Trefoil Books, Ltd, 1981; measuring 10" high (25.4cm).
